Book Publishing
Prior to stepping into the marketing world, I worked in book publishing in New York as both an assistant editor at Abrams and a freelance copywriter and proofreader for publishers such as Hachette and Macmillian. My background in publishing established my love of coaching and mentoring through the editor/author relationships I built. A through line in my career has been helping writers to do their best work through thoughtful, encouraging editorial feedback.

Assisted editorial director and senior editor in all aspects of the editorial process. Lead editor for several titles per season, including the Hugo-nominated Steampunk Bible (2011).
Freelance Editorial Projects
Throughout my career I have taken on jobs as a freelance copy editor and proofreader for companies such as Hachette, Macmillan, Rent the Runway, Abrams and mml pr. Diverse projects have included YA novels, cookbooks, adult fiction and nonfiction and press releases. You can find a small sampling of the projects I've copy edited or proofread below.
